One thing’s for sure, a storm isn’t always welcome. They’re inconvenient, and occasionally, they can cause destruction and chaos as they pass. That silver lining though? They DO pass, and they often create opportunity for growth once they do. This goes for literal and psychological ones.
While riding through her own personal storm, Aubry decided to take her situation in to her own hands to regain control, and create her own promise of sunshine. When she booked her session, we planned for a glorious sunset on a rooftop to represent the passing of this current part of her life, and her rebirth in to the newly confident and empowered woman she’s becoming. Instead… you guessed it, we got one of Charleston’s infamous afternoon rainstorms. Bummer right? Wrong! We embraced it and knew the symbolism she was hoping for was still there, and in fact more apparent. Through the clouds, waves of rain, and gusting wind we created a really powerful session that I know she’ll be looking back on with pride knowing she not only made it through her storm, but steered it to create a better, stronger version of herself for the future.
